NOTABLE LAND AND HOUSING POLICIES TAKING EFFECT FROM JUNE 2026
Starting in June 2026, several new regulations related to land management, housing, and compensation for land acquisition will officially take effect in various localities across Vietnam. These policies are expected to enhance governance, protect citizens’ rights, and support socio-economic development.

Da Nang Issues New Compensation Rates for Houses and Structures Subject to Land Acquisition
Effective June 1, 2026, Da Nang City will implement Decision No. 61/2026/QD-UBND, which establishes compensation rates for houses, residential buildings, construction works, graves, and related assets affected by state land acquisition.
The regulation provides detailed compensation frameworks for different types of structures and offers guidance on implementation to ensure transparency and consistency in compensation and site clearance activities.
Gia Lai Updates Compensation Rates for Crops and Livestock
Under Decision No. 50/2026/QD-UBND, effective June 1, 2026, Gia Lai Province introduces updated compensation rates for crops and livestock affected by state land acquisition.
The new framework covers annual crops, perennial crops, ornamental plants, livestock, and aquaculture, helping safeguard the interests of residents impacted by infrastructure and urban development projects.
Ca Mau Sets Minimum Housing Area Requirement for Permanent Residence Registration
Beginning June 1, 2026, Ca Mau Province will enforce new requirements for permanent residence registration at legally rented, borrowed, or shared accommodations.
Accordingly, the minimum living area required for permanent residence registration is 8 square meters of floor space per person. The regulation aims to ensure basic living standards and improve population management efficiency.
Dong Nai Introduces Rental Incentive Policies
Effective June 10, 2026, Decision No. 07/2026/QD-UBND of Dong Nai City introduces a range of rental incentives for priority groups.
Key benefits include rent exemptions for certain organizations assigned public duties by the State, as well as support for entities operating in education, healthcare, culture, sports, environmental services, and cooperative economic sectors.
These incentives are expected to encourage socialization efforts, strengthen collective economic models, and improve the utilization of state-owned housing assets.
The new policies taking effect in June 2026 focus on key areas such as compensation for land acquisition, residence management, and housing rental support. Staying informed about these regulatory changes will help residents, businesses, and investors make more informed decisions regarding land and real estate activities.
