HO CHI MINH CITY ACCELERATES LAND VALUATION PROCESS TO IMPROVE BUDGET REVENUE
In parallel, the Ho Chi Minh City Land Development Center has been assigned to accelerate preparations for land-use-right auctions in accordance with the city's approved auction plan for 2026. The center will work with related departments to organize auctions in compliance with current regulations.
Ho Chi Minh City is stepping up efforts to accelerate land valuation procedures and the collection of land-related financial obligations, aiming to improve budget revenue and enhance the efficiency of land management throughout 2026.
According to a recent directive issued by the city authorities, relevant agencies have been assigned to expedite the preparation and appraisal of specific land prices for projects currently under review. Priority will be given to projects with completed valuation reports or those that have already received preliminary feedback from the city's land valuation council.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment has been tasked with developing a detailed land valuation plan for projects expected to be submitted during 2026. The department is also responsible for coordinating with tax authorities by providing complete cadastral information once land pricing decisions are approved, allowing land-use fees and land rental obligations to be issued in accordance with regulations.
Meanwhile, the city's tax authority has been instructed to promptly issue payment notices for approved projects and strengthen coordination with relevant agencies to ensure timely collection of land-use fees and land rental payments. Authorities are also expected to closely monitor the fulfillment of financial obligations to ensure state budget revenues are collected accurately and on schedule.
In parallel, the Ho Chi Minh City Land Development Center has been assigned to accelerate preparations for land-use-right auctions in accordance with the city's approved auction plan for 2026. The center will work with related departments to organize auctions in compliance with current regulations.
During the first six months of 2026, city agencies continued implementing various land administration tasks, including land valuation, financial obligation assessments, land-use-right auctions, compensation and resettlement activities, and land registration procedures. According to official estimates, land-related revenues generated during this period are expected to make a significant contribution to the city's budget.
Authorities have also continued processing land ownership certificates for individuals, organizations, and homebuyers in real estate projects while reviewing delayed land-use cases and handling administrative procedures related to land management.
The city's ongoing efforts are intended to improve administrative efficiency, accelerate project implementation, and support the sustainable management and utilization of land resources in accordance with existing legal regulations.
